Incredible sailing, beautiful boat, excellent snacks and wine.
We booked this sailing tour for our first night, when five friends and I arrived in Lisbon; we were told that a sunset sail was a must. Leonardo was very communicative and is very skilled in “reading the room.” He could tell that we were more into the “cruising” aspect than a history tour, he gave us information about some of the important areas of Lisbon, and was able to answer any questions that we had along the way; while also allowing us to control the Bluetooth music on the boat and serving us excellent Portuguese appetizers and wine. This sunset sail is a must, the boat is large and beautiful at almost 50 feet long and teak along the entire deck, perfect for a group of 6 or 8. Highly recommend, this is the tour to book!!

My daughter, a friend and I took this tour in mid-March 2022. It was one of the best things we did in Lisbon. Leonardo, the owner and operator of the sailing boat, is knowledgeable, a pleasure to talk to and a true gentleman. The departure time, the route and the food and wine were all well planned in advance. The sailing boat was spotless. As soon as we were on it, we felt welcome and safe. It was so much fun! Lilliana

Excellent opportunity to see Lisbon from the water!- Capt. Leo and Tona made every effort to make our sailing experience pleasant – although we did not have much wind, he still managed to raise sails and even let us take the helm!. Will definitely repeat the experience next time we are in town.

Der Segel-Abend mit Leo war wirklich ein gelungener spannender und wunderschöner Ausflug. Mein Freund Marcus und ich waren zum ersten mal segeln. Wir durften das Boot selbst steuern, hätten es aber nicht gemußt sondern hätten uns auch nur an Board entspannen dürfen. Wir haben uns trotz des kräftigen Windes immer mit Leo an der Seite sicher gefühlt da er ein sehr erfahrener und gelassener Segler ist und mit sehr viel Empathie betreut hat. Zum Schluss hat Leo uns noch Wein und eine traditionelle Käse/Wurst Platte serviert. Wir sind fast die gesamte Küste der Stadt Lissabon abgesegelt und haben viele Infos und interessante Detaills über die Stadt erfahren. Für mich persönlich war das Segeln unter der roten Brücke durch der spannendste Teil. Ich kann die Tour und das Erlebnis wirklich empfehlen

Leo and Tona were excellent guides for our sunset sail in Lisbon. Even though there was not much of a sunset due to the cloud cover, they still provided a really fun and an informative experience. They explained many of the local sites that we could see from the water and even served us some local Portuguese wine and snacks. I would definitely recommend sailing with Leo and Tona!

A highlight of our trip! Leo’s boat is really nice – beautiful wood, modern sailing tech, spacious. He actually sails the boat (not motor-sail) and encourages everyone to have a hand steering the boat which is really fun. Definitely something both experienced sailors and beginner sailors can enjoy. Highly recommend!

The trip on Leo’s 47-feet sailing boat was scenic and very comfortable. Leo made us feel safe and cared for. We very much enjoyed the trip, for the scenery, connecting with nature atop the sailboat, and for the stories our host shared.

I’m not a boat person. I’m not a water person at all. But I booked this tour and was amazed. The views, the explanation of Lisbon’s history, Leo and his partner’s warmness made it to be a brilliant experience. I even steered the boat, which I never thought I would ever do in a lifetime. I strongly advise anyone to book them, it was wonderful.

I have never been on a sailboat before but this experience made me want to go on more. Leonardo was a fantastic host and shared some knowledge on sailing and some Portuguese history. We even got to drive the sailboat for a little which was exciting!

Our sunset tour didn’t include the sunset as it was an overcast and very windy evening. However, we ended up having a very pleasant time. Leonardo was extremely professional in his explanation of safety on board and everyone who wanted to try skippering was able to even though it was very windy. That was so much fun for everyone who tried. We saw some lovely views of Lisbon from the water, sailed under the April 25th bridge which reminds us of the Golden Gate. They prepared a light snack of cheese and salami and poured us some wine on the way back which was a nice touch and enabled us to chat some more with the other guests. A fun experience!

Sailing with Leonardo, was a great experience. You’ll have the chance to drive, see both Lisbon and Almada shores as well as the 25 of April Bridge from below which is amazing.

I had such a wonderful time. We been so lucky to have really nice group of lovely people. The atmosphere was great. The sailor was really nice and thoughtful also very professional. He did good take care of us. We had wine and appreciate. While experience was amazing. Highly recommended to everyone who want to have chill evening.

Our boat trip with Leonardo was the perfect way to end of first day in Lisbon and also celebrate our anniversary together! The weather was so nice and the views were incredible along the river. Leonardo provided us a wealth of knowledge about the history of the city and the significance of what we were seeing. He even let us drive the boat ourselves which was so exhilarating and a very cool experience! We can’t recommend his experience enough and would love to return in the future!

I would definitely recommend the sunset sail experience with Leo! It was more than we expected, Leo is a brilliant experience host and is incredibly knowledgable of Lisbon, sailing and general Portuguese history. It was lots of fun being sat at the front of the boat but be prepared to get wet! Definitely gets cold so wrap up warm, but you’ll be able to have a go steering the boat and they’re happy to get lots of photos!

This boat ride was so fun & relaxing! We appreciated Leonardo identifying & explaining parts of the city as we passed them, and the vino verde + cheese & cured meat were a yummy treat. The first 20-30 minutes were super bumpy (which I found fun) & then the rest of the sail was pretty calm, but I think this depends on the particular weather conditions & tide that day. Make sure to bring a jacket as it gets pretty chilly in the last hour!

Wow – this trip is a must do!!! I would absolutely recommend and go again. Leonardo and Tona are perfect hosts- and an incredibly capable deck crew. They immediately made us feel at ease and guided us through the entire experience. This 47ft sailboat is absolutely gorgeous and well-appointed. Leonardo’s a pro- and we had a fun, sporty sailing adventure on the first half. We heeled quite a bit on the first half and he set our expectations from the get go. And was also paying close attention to make sure everyone felt good then adjusted the sails accordingly if needed. We sipped wine and ate delicious local cheese and charcuterie on the second half- it was such a fun evening. They were more than just hosts- they were an integral part of the whole experience, and incredibly genuine and lovely people. Not to mention it was an incredible way to soak in Lisbon – from the water. So glad we did it.

Fantastic sailing voyage in Lisbon. Even with the subpar weather (windy and cold), we had such a fun time! The Vino Verde, cheese, and sausages were delightful!

Tagus Lovers boat tour is simply amazing! It starts with 2 passionate sailors (Leornardo and Tona) who are so nice and welcoming! They have regular jobs off the boat but do tours because they just enjoy sailing and want to share their passion with others. We sailed with stunning sceneries, had great conversations and enjoyed some good wine and snacks. What also sets this experience apart is that, contrary to most tour operators who raise a small sail but mostly run their motor, Leonardo and Tona offered us a true sailing experience without the motor. It was exhilarating! They also coached us to navigate the boat ourselves for some time. When we were cruising and the boat was on a significant angle, they always checked to ensure everyone was comfortable. We can’t say enough great things about Leonardo, Tona and the experience on their beautiful sail boat!

Absolutely recommend a sunset sail with Leonardo, it was pure magic! My husband, who is a sailor, even got to sail for a bit and just loved it. Perfect weather, the loveliest people and Leonardo and his crew mate were so wonderful. We have done another “sail” on the river, and they didn’t even attempt an actual sail. You can tell that Leonardo loves sailing as much as he loves his beloved Lisbon. You will love this experience, I promise!

Hier kann man einiges über das Segeln lernen und auch selbst aktiv werden! Das Boot ist wunderschön und Leonardo hat sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben. Zwischendurch gab es leckeren Käse und Wurst und etwas Vinho Verde. Ich fand es sehr schön!
