500 years of Lisbon history in 2,5 hours of excitement! Let us to take you for an exciting time-traveling experience along the Tagus river and enjoy the views and major landmarks.

We’ll go from Parque das Nacoes (a modern neighbourhood built from the scratch in 1998 to host the worldwide exhibition Expo98) to Torre de Belem (built in 1520 to defend Lisbon from pirates and burglars) and return on the funny, but yet comfortable, power boat Enigmas.
Is the most exciting and efficient way to be delighted with the beautiful views of Lisbon from the Tagus river side and to enjoy the major local landmarks:

If we’re lucky, we’ll also watch dolphins and other marine life as well as several species of birds which returns to the huge Tagus Estuary every year for nidification.

This is a must do in Lisbon if you want to build up memories for life, specially the sunset tour and the night tour, believe me!

  2. This tour is available in the morning, the afternoon, at the sunset time and during the night (contact in advance to schedule the best time for you);
  3. On board you’ll have warm blankets and a Bluetooth sound equipment;
  4. Booking the boat privately for your family/group (no other guests will join) is also available (contact us for conditions and prices);
  5. In case of cancelation due to bad weather, a new date will be discussed with you;
  6. There is a minimum of 4 guests booked to do this experience; if not, a new date will be discussed with you; if you can’t join any other date, you’ll be fully refunded;

Marina Parque das Nacoes

We'll depart from the modernest Lisbon neighborwood, Built from the scratch to host the worldwide exhibition Expo98, today is the one of the favourite and premium places to live and work.

Alfama

Alfama is the oldest neighborwood and the Lisbon cradle. It's also one of the most beautiful views from the Tagus river. From here you can see the great Lisbon hills, the imponent Panteao Nacional, the Castelo de Sao Jorge on the top of the hill, the Se de Lisboa, the beautiful tilled walls of old buildings among many other POIs and monuments.

Vasco da Gama Bridge

We'll see this bridge at a distance. It's the longest bridge in the EU (12,3 kms long) and the 2nd longest in Europe. Also built in the context of worldwide exhibition Expo98, is today an important access to the city and one of the pleasant places to cross at the sunset time.

Mar da Palha

Mar da Palha ("straw sea", word-by-word translated) is the given name to a significant area of the Tagus estuary due to the accumulation of straw and logs which travels with the tidal flush from the crops upriver (northeast rural fields), mainly on spring tides, and stay adrift on this area stuck by the confluence currents of secondary rivers.

Panteao Nacional

Originally a church, it was converted into the National Pantheon in which important Portuguese personalities are buried. It is located in the Alfama neighbourhood, close to another important Lisbon monument, the Monastery of São Vicente de Fora.

Alfama

Alfama is the oldest neighborwood and the Lisbon cradle. It's also one of the most beautiful views from the Tagus river. Se de Lisboa

The Cathedral of Saint Mary Major, often called Lisbon Cathedral or simply the Sé (Sé de Lisboa), is a Roman Catholic cathedral located in Lisbon, Portugal. The oldest church in the city (built in 1147), the cathedral has survived many earthquakes and has been modified, renovated and restored several times being, nowadays, a mix of different architectural styles.

Castelo de Sao Jorge

The castle is in the centre of Lisbon, on a hill, while many of its walls extend around the citadel into the civil parishes that surround it to the east and south. Human occupation of the castle hill dates to at least the 8th century BC while the oldest fortifications on the site date from the 2nd century BC.

Praca do Comercio (Terreiro do Paco)

You can enjoy the view of one of the biggest squares in Europe, also known as Terreiro do Paço due the it's relation to the royal family in the past. You can also enjoy iconic monuments like Cais das Colunas, the Arco da Rua Augusta, the beautiful buildings, still supported by wooden made stakes, the stairs of Avenida Ribeira das Naus, where locals and visitants can have their feet on Tagus river. For those interested on, you'll get an extensive historical explanation about this place and surroundings.

25 de Abril Bridge

The 25 de Abril Bridge (Ponte 25 de Abril) is a suspension bridge connecting Lisbon to Almada. Inaugurated in 1966, it has a total length of 2,277 metres (7,470 ft).

MAAT - Museu de Arte, Arquitetura e Tecnologia

MAAT is a cultural project for the city Lisbon that is focused on three areas: art, architecture and technology. A beautiful design project by Amanda Levete.

Museu da Eletricidade

Located in Belém district, the Tejo Power Station was a thermoelectric power plant owned by the Companhias Reunidas de Gás e Electricidade (CRGE – United Gas and Electric Companies), which supplied power to the city and entire region between 1909 to 1972. It now houses the Museu da Electricidade (Electricity Museum).

Padrao dos Descobrimentos

A stylised caravel seems to be setting out to sea, with Henry the Navigator in its prow. This is the well know Monument to the Discoveries. First erected in 1940 in a temporary form, it was reconstructed in 1960 to mark 500 years since the death of the Infante Dom Henrique (Henry the Navigator).

Torre de Belem

Belém Tower, officially the Tower of Saint Vincent, is a 16th-century fortification located in Lisbon that served as a point of embarkation and disembarkation for Portuguese explorers, a ceremonial gateway to Lisbon as well as to defend Lisbon entrance along the river.

Cristo Rei (Jesus Statue)

The Sanctuary of Christ the King is a Catholic monument and shrine dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ overlooking the city of Lisbon situated in Almada. It was inspired by the Christ the Redeemer statue of Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil, after the Cardinal Patriarch of Lisbon visited that monument. The giant statue was erected to express gratitude because the Portuguese were spared the direct destructive effects of World War II.

Cais do Ginjal

They say you have the best view of Lisbon from Cais do Ginjal. We tend to agree. An old industrial area long time abandoned and in ruin, is these days a popular and trendy place to visit and enjoy Portuguese cuisine.

To get to Marina Parque das Nacoes from the city center/Praça do Comércio (9km/5.5miles away):
By bus: There is a bus stop near the harbor (100m), the one close to the Repsol gas station. From the city center or from Belém, you can take bus #728 or #781.
By car (cab, Uber, Cabify, Taxify, MyTaxi, Chauffeur Prive or other): use the given address.

Besides these options, Parque das Nacoes has the biggest all-transportation station in the city: The "Gare do Oriente", "Orient Station" or just "Oriente". "Gare do Oriente" is a 20-minute walk from Marina Parque das Nacoes.
All public transportation options are located here: taxi, subway, bus, and train.

Bus: Numbers 5, 10, 19, 21, 28, 50, 68, 81, 82, 85 will take you everywhere!

Subway: Follow the red "M" signs and hop on the subway "Red line" up to "Oriente" station.

Train: The "Alfa pendular", "Intercidades", "Inter-regional" or "Regional" will connect "Oriente" to both north and south of the country, as well as the urban line to everywhere in Lisbon and border cities.

For your smart phone, we suggest you use Rome2Rio (for all forms of public transportation) and MetroLX (subway) mobile applications. They are free and work pretty well in Lisbon.
